Each column represents a separate regression, and all regressions include indicators for gender and birth cohort of both children and parents. Columns 1 and 2 are based on a sample of nonadopted children, Columns 3–5 on adoptees. Columns 1 and 3 are based on a sample of children with parents that are all dead (CC) in the end of the observation period. In Column 2 and 4 an additional restriction is imposed that children are born before 1953. In Column 5 the sample is restricted to adoptees born before 1953 with dead adopting parents.
